One of the things that sets EAC apart from other audio grabber software is its flexibility. Many years ago I decided to rip all my music in mp3PRO format, at 96 kbps. At the time this was a reasonable choice with both software (although limited) and hardware support (portable mp3PRO player). I just forgot to consider one parameter: the future. Today the format is dead, support has disappered and the quality does no longer live up to my expensive Hi-Fi equipment.

The one choice that will never be regretted is a lossless audio codec. It's the only future-proof choice. The files can always be converted to any other lossless format, without having to rip all the music once again, and without losing quality. If the music files are needed on a portable device with limited space, just convert the files to any lossy format the device supports.

When launching yaP it reads settings from an ini file to what files/directories to copy and which registry keys to backup, etc. Then launches the main application and waits until it is closed. When that happens, yaP saves application settings to the portable directory and restores local backups.

FLAC (/flæk/; Free Lossless Audio Codec) is an audio coding format for lossless compression of digital audio, developed by the Xiph.Org Foundation, and is also the name of the free software project producing the FLAC tools, the reference software package that includes a codec implementation. Digital audio compressed by FLAC's algorithm can typically be reduced to between 50 and 70 percent of its original size[4] and decompresses to an identical copy of the original audio data.

Since FLAC is a lossless scheme, it is suitable as an archive format for owners of CDs and other media who wish to preserve their audio collections. If the original media are lost, damaged, or worn out, a FLAC copy of the audio tracks ensures that an exact duplicate of the original data can be recovered at any time. An exact restoration from a lossy copy (e.g., MP3) of the same data is impossible. FLAC being lossless means it is highly suitable for transcoding e.g. to MP3, without the normally associated transcoding quality loss between one lossy format and another. A CUE file can optionally be created when ripping a CD. If a CD is read and ripped perfectly to FLAC files, the CUE file allows later burning of an audio CD that is identical in audio data to the original CD, including track order and pregap, but excluding CD-Text and other additional data such as lyrics and CD+G graphics.[19]

FLAC playback support in portable audio devices and dedicated audio systems is limited compared to formats such as MP3[20] or uncompressed PCM. FLAC support is included by default in Windows 10, Android, BlackBerry 10 and Jolla devices.

@MagibonBurrrn_Portable The entry (Cygnus Solutions) left in the registry is created by the Cygwin POSIX Emulation Layer (cygwin1.dll) called from cdrdao.exe (CD-R Disk-At-Once) and is left empty.I have other programs that also use this emulation layer and leave that exact registry key (empty).So, is Burrrn stealth? Well if you consider stealth to not leaving traces of yourself, then yes.Any files other than WAV, e.g. APE, FLAC, MP3 get decompressed to WAV in the 'temp' directory, so making the 'temp' directory relative to Burrrn's folder would cause excessive writes to your flash/portable drive (Average CD 600 - 700 MB).

Thanks but these sounds aren't useful for me at all, sorry :(, you recorded them directly from the game and what I need is the original and exact audio files extracted from the original game files and introduce them in NZP.
